The Slum Film Festival (SFF) is an innovative community-based film event, featuring stories from, by, and about people living in urban slums everywhere. This edition of the festival will also incorporates film training workshops and art classes. The Festival focuses on films made by and about the slums. This imitative does not seek to legitimize the existence of these informal human settlements but aims to change people's perspectives towards these spaces and show that they are home to talented, creative and culturally active actors. This 2nd edition will be running from 6th to 13th August with evening screenings in Kibera and Mathare. This year's Festival has been expanded to include productions from other East African countries.
