Horaires : 00:00
Pays principal concerné : Rubrique : Musique, Danse

Friday 30th

 Opening Ceremony
With Guests of Honour and live entertainment
The idea for the opening ceremony is to invite guests of honour who can unite and reconcile the audience. This year the music groups will especially be chosen according to their ethnic background to ensure diversity.

 Dance Competition - semi-finals
Dance groups from the region and beyond are invited to compete. The best ones are invited to find the finalist during the KPF 2013.

Saturday 31st

 Children‟s Performances
In 2012 the KPF organised a special day for children culminating in the
march through town by some 200 - 300 children who demanded peace in their life. At the JKSG children‟s groups from Kisumu and as far away as Homa Bay performed music, dance and poems which were very well
received by our audience. We would like to give more children the chance to express themselves on stage.

 Rugby Match
The Kisumu team mostly consists of Luos whilst the Eldoret team is
predominantly Kalenjin.

Sunday 1

 Religious Ceremony
The KPF intends to invite either Christians from all denominations for an ecumenical service or if possible all religious leaders for a combined service

 Football Match
Police vs Kondele

 Dance Competition - Finals
The KPF intends to invite different dance groups to prepare for a dance competition. Semi-finals shall be held on Friday and the finals on Sunday.

 Closing Ceremony
The Closing Ceremony brings together all the participants of the three-day festival culminating in the singing of the Kenya National Anthem.

Saturday and Sunday

 Food Stalls
Throughout the festival members from different tribes (anticipated are Luo, Luhya, Nandi, Kalenjin, Kisii, Kikuyu and Maasai) will cook food and sell it to the audience. Tentative plans are to sell food vouchers which will entitle the buyer to sample food from every single stall in order to encourage people to taste food from all stall and cultures.
