The Directors and their teams are dedicated to the delivery of projects on budget and on time. There is a strong and efficient PLANNING office administration which means the design professionals can concentrate their efforts on what they do best: Architecture.

PLANNING has, quite literally, modified the skyline of Nairobi with its high rise projects. Fedha Towers, Lonrho House, The George Williamson Building, Rahimtulla Trust Tower, Citibank and the Investments & Mortgages Bank building on Kenyatta Avenue are all well-known landmarks. In the leisure industry it has several internationally acclaimed hotels and resorts to its name: Mombasa Serena Beach Hotel, Zanzibar Serena Inn, Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club, Elsa's Kopje, Loisaba Lodge, Fairview Hotel extensions, the Intercontinental Hotel Casino, the Casanova Casino and the Hilton Hotel fire escape.

PLANNING is working with international consultants on phase II of the Aga Khan Academy at Likoni, Kilindini, and the English Point Marina at Nyali, Mombasa.

In the Residential field, PLANNING was responsible for the design of the multi award winning Lakeview Estate in Lower Kabete, also Imara Daima Housing Estate and Komarock Phase I in Nairobi. Their newest housing projects include Sultan Palace, Kilifi, Ocean Seven, and English Point Marina, Mombasa.

PLANNING is also known for its creation of the interior design practice Planning Interiors, now a wholly independent and highly successful business.

PLANNING has pioneered affordable housing in East Africa. In Berlin in June 2002 the PAMOJA prototype house was a finalist in the WORLD ARCHITECTURE AWARDS. PAMOJA is currently committed to the construction of HIV VCT Clinics nationwide, as well as housing. PAMOJA was nominated for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture for 2004.

Currently we are working with the local Government and UNEP and with two private clients on the development of the INTERVENTION 2004 Nairobi City Regeneration, the philosophy and concept of which originated at PLANNING. The Nairobi Dam Trustees have retained PLANNING to advise on the restoration and regeneration of the Nairobi Dam and the land-use planning of the land around it.
