Inside the sensuous new Lavington Curve building, up a series of twisting staircase, across an aisle of soon-to-open shop fronts, is a brave, fresh interior design gallery space. Tribal Gallery, like the Lavington Curve building itself, symbolizes the ever-growing sophistication of our city. Nairobi really is becoming Africa's design capital.



Tribal Gallery showcases it's locally made boutique furniture alongside mysterious artifacts from the Far East and South-Central Asia. With natural light flooding in from ceiling-high windows running the expanse of Lavington Curve, the gallery space feels at once like a high-end art museum, an exclusive antique store and a cosmopolitan craft market.



"It's been a long-term dream," shares the British-born gallery entrepreneur, who worked for over a decade in Afghanistan and Pakistan in UN upper-management.Read more
