LAUNCH: African Poetry Library at the Goethe Institut Nairobi

The Goethe Institut Nairobi has recently established a new collection of poetry books known as the African Poetry Library. We have 420 poetry books drawn from authors across the globe and all the books are in English. We received the books from The African Poetry Book fund, an organization based in the US and UK, which is an initiative geared at establishing accessible and user friendly small poetry libraries in the African continent. In Kenya, the African Poetry Book Fund is collaborating with KWANI and the Goethe Institut to facilitate this project. The collection consists of poetry journals, poetry reviews, poetry anthologies and poetry guides. Please find below more details:

AFRICAN POETRY LIBRARY
· The books are available at the Goethe- Institut Library.
· They can only be read within the premise and cannot be borrowed.
· Those wishing to use the books need to come when the library is open.

The Library opening hours:
a)MON and TUE: 10:00a.m to 6:00p.m.
b)WED and THUR: 1:00p.m to 6:00p.m.
c)FRIDAYS: 10:00a.m to 5:00p.m.
