Any interested person (or group) creating tech art is free to submit proposals. The period for submitting proposals is three weeks, starting from the 21st March. Final proposals will be due Monday, 13th April, after that day no more proposals will be accepted for submission.
Requirements and Schedule
Proposals must include the following:
genuine and unique art submission with use of technology or technological components
clear demonstration of how it incorporates the project's theme: future in Kenya/East Africa
visual articulation of the tech art idea (this can be a storyboard, diagram, drawing/sketch, or any other visually communicative depiction of the idea)
concise verbal description of the project
realistic itemized budget to create the project described in the proposal
explanation of how an audience could interact will works
Submit proposal documents to digital_art@ihub.co.ke no later than end-of-day 13th April.
Schedule Following Submissions:
April 13: deadline to submit proposals
April 13-27: selection of finalist submissions by the iHub and Goethe Institut curators
April 27: final review the finalist proposals and selection of those that will be funded (selected tech art team should begin working on complete projects on this day)
June 19: preparation for the exhibition for selected projects (final completed art must be ready to exhibit on this date)
July: Exhibition
