The film takes stock of the Algerian war by retracing the history of the NLA and shows the popular effort to rebuild the country after independence. Under the aegis of René Vautier, director of the Algiers Audiovisual Center, young Algerian filmmakers freely point their cameras at the past, present and also the future they dream of for Algeria.
