Mozart joué sur des marimbas !
C'est la version pour le moins étonnante de La Flûte enchantée (Impempe Yomlingo en langue originale) que propose l'Isango Portobello Company. Tout en restant fidèle au livret initial et à la partition de Mozart, cette production, située dans un township, utilise diverses langues parlées en Afrique du Sud (y compris l'anglais). Quant à l'orchestration, elle mélange allégrement marimbas, percussions et choeurs africains
Greg Germain a réalisé la captation de l'opéra "Impempe Yomlingo", (La Flûte Enchantée) au Théâtre du Châtelet, en octobre 2009.
