The engagement and participation of youth is essential to the achievement of sustainable human development. Yet often the opportunities for youth to engage politically, economically and socially are low or non-existent. It's critical for them to be involved in the political process and the issues that affect them and to engage their communities, coming together to be a collective source of positive and impactful change – both politically and non-politically.

More efforts are needed to raise awareness about the importance of youth civic engagement and its benefits to the individual and to society, including for sustainable development as well as resilience and well-being. Akili Dada, Fatuma's Voice and Pawa 254 team up to invite you to conversations brewing around the role of young people to the prosperity of a nation.

How important is it that you take part in your country's political, economical and social processes as a young person? What role do you play in seeing to it that there is better legislature and opportunities for you and the people around you?

We shall our three amazing ladies from KIU singing for us alongside other great musicians, and poets too will be on stage.
