The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany has set up a worldwide partnership with about 1,600 schools since 2008 in an initiative called PASCH, that promotes learning German to create a worldwide network of future partners in the realms of culture, academia, and economy.
The theatre-project PerspACT!ve is one of the many PASCH-activities, its highlight being a performance on 25 July 2014. Through theatrical exercises which will be set together to one
complete theatre play, students from Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda are dealing with diverse topics. They are creating their own theatre play inGerman, including own songs, a mix of German lyrics and traditional music from their countries.
PerspACT!ve has been initiated by the Goethe-Institut in cooperation with the band einshochsechs from Munich and Nicole Weber, a theatre producer from Vienna.
