This Saturday at #FatumasVoice

Peace has always been defined as the absence of conflict.
Others say that it is the freedom from fear of violence.
This may not be entirely true because peace is not confined within violent actions but is also a state of mind.

Social Injustice, even in the absence of conflict cannot co-exist with peace.
Instead, it creates strong emotional imbalances that may be carried from generation to the next.
These hurts sneak into our belief systems and communities start accepting them though they have no clear clue about the origin.

At some point, individuals may have to make personal decisions to create peace in the midst of all discomfort.
Maybe this will break the seemingly inherited chain of Lack of peace.
What does Peace look like to you?
Does it's definition expand beyond politics?
Do you have a role to play in creating peace in the society?

These and more Questions will be answered this Saturday 26th, July 2014 at #FatumasVoice.
We are privileged to have a Panel of professionals from the following organizations: Arterial Network, Artwatch Africa, and Ibua Africa.

A great line-up of poets, musicians, and Artists will also join us with their artistic view of Peace.
