"Am a Visual Artist

My art is about the society: I visualise day to day happenings that affect an individual or society either positively or negatively. Art is not merely about an empty space that one simply needs to fill. I am creating for people to learn something or even celebrate their successes.

My background is an example of the struggle many people have gone through, to be where they are today. I sacrifice myself and my experiences and open myself up to the world and invite them to say if they went through the same or not; a few people say they didn't have a hard time in their up bringing but say a partner came from a poor background. My expression cannot be escaped because it's the pillars of a strong people.

Through my art I have met very important people in all walks of life, the farmer , the driver the doctor and the shopkeeper ; my teacher and my neighbours and other senior persons who too have created time to look and even purchase my art for their families and friends.

My art has taken me places such as Netherlands, Italy, Greece Hong Kong ,Tanzania . My work has been displayed all over the world in countries various countries such as America, Germany, Britain, Denmark ,Jamaica. My fellow Kenyans are my love and my art is about them.

I grew up in the depths of central province in Kiambu, in the era where books as writing surfaces were a luxury and not affordable to those in my locality. Thus my first piece of arts was drawn on the ground, the same place I learnt to write the letters of the alphabet. At first, I did not realise the value of my art pieces. I drew and displayed them in my parent's house and handed them to anyone who admires and wanted them.
