Kenya has undergone a metamorphosis over time. After her independence, the country set to achieve social, economic and political developments. Through those changes as the years went by, different populations grew up in different seasons and from diverse backgrounds. Some people were in urban towns while others only new rural life.

We had games we enjoyed playing in our childhood, experiences we underwent while commuting as pupils and students. We recited TV commercials while they played and loved 'Nyayo Milk', for those who were lucky enough to get it. We went for 'duf mpararo' and sent letters to our loved ones with scented papers and music dedications.

What do you remember? No matter how old or young you are, Fatuma's Voice invites you to share your escapades this Saturday.

We shall be showing pictures and videos from post independence Kenya through the evolution of time to the present day. There will be poetry, music and laughter to cool the hot week off.
