Ever thought bugs could be so cool! Macro photography enthusiasts, Larry Asego, Eric Gitonga, Sabore Noah, Martha Nzisa and Abdul Mutuma, show us the beautiful side of arthropods, creatures too small for us to appreciate with our naked eye. The exhibition not only zooms in on these invertebrates that constitute over 90% of the animal kingdom but also exposes the art of macro photography. Alongside the exhibition, the photographers, in association with the Photographers Association of Kenya (PAK) have organized also organized a series of presentations that will run on Tue. 15th July from 9am onwards in the Alliance Française auditorium:

Entomologist, Dr. Wanja Kinuthia of the National Museums of Kenya , will present a talk on the importance of pollinators and the agents of pollination, a process critical for food production directly linking wild ecosystems with agricultural production systems. How can macro photography help build public awareness about pollinators.

Photographers Association of Kenya will give a presentation on insurance options available in the market for photographic equipment and the need for insurance when on assignment. Framers and photo book developers will give tips on what to consider when selecting framing and printing options.

June Gachu, an Intellectual Property lawyer , and member of the Copyright Board of Kenya , will discuss intellectual property rights in photography as well as ways to market yourself as a photographer.
