C.A.B is a musical encounter between artists from the Caribbean, Africa and Brazil. The Martinican pianist Mario Canonge, the Cameroonian singer/guitarist Blick Bassy and the Brazilian percussionist Adriano Tenoriodd journey flavoured with African, Latin-American and Caribbean rhythms. The artists will be travelling across 23 African countries with the support of Institut Français, the French agency for international cultural cooperation. Mario Canonge, is a celebrated Martinican pianist with a remarkable ability to adapt his craft to a wide variety of genres: jazz, zouk, salsa, in the process re-inventing traditional Martinican music. Singer/songwriter/guitarist, Blick Bassy, Cameroon's blues/soul voice, has under his belt some of Africa's most prestigious music awards including the Kora, and the RFI Prix Découvertes with his group 'Macase'. In 2005, Blick moved to Paris, where he performed with Manu Dibango, Cheick Tidiane Seck and Lokua Kanza before releasing his debut solo album, Léman, in 2009. Blick Bassey was the headline artist for Alliance Française's 60th anniversary celebrations in 2009. Adriano Tenoriodd comes from a musical family. His grandfather was a trombone player in the Military Orchestra of Maceio City and his father Narriman Tenorio wa s a great bass player. From an early age, Adriano was exposed to diverse rhythms and melodies which continue to enrich his music as a percussionist.
