This notebook follows a route, the route
travelled by Arthur Rimbaud in the twilight
years of the 19th century, and then again by
Éric Guglielmi, following in the poet's
footsteps at the dawn of the 21st century.

Charleroi, Civitavecchia, Deville, Djibouti,
Harar, Hargnies, Les Hautes-Rivières,
Laifour, London, Monthermé, Obock,
Ostend, Renwez, Roche, Rome, Tadjoura,
Voncq-these images made today are one
with the metaphors spun back then.
They are as simple as a phrase of music
